Plastic razor blades are ideal for removing items like stickers, decals, and paint overspray from delicate surfaces such as painted surfaces, glass, or plastic. Benefits of using plastic razor blades: Gentle on surfaces and won't scratch or damage them.

A: If you tried hard enough you might be able to cause a "paper cut" but in normal use, no. It's not so much their sharpness but the thin, soft, straight edge that makes them generally useful and safe for use on finished surfaces.

The plastic razor blade has been great for cleaning messes from the stovetop without fear of scratching our brand-new appliance, but I've also reached for it for other things. With hot water, I've used it to scrape label residue from the bottoms of newly purchased plastic storage containers.
